Port Colborne Assault

6/28/2012

Police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect in a Port Colborne assault case.

Police were called to the Port Colborne hospital yesterday morning where they met with a 36 year old woman who said she had been attacked while walking on King Street shortly after midnight.

The woman had just left an establishment on Clarence Street when she says she was hit from behind near the former Lightheart Cleaners.

Her assailant put a choke hold on her causing her to lose consciousness.

She woke up in a rocky area behind the KFC on King street with a male she didn't know.

He is described as white, 25 to 30 years of age, 5 foot 8, stocky with a big belly and strong arms.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.
