She was treated with minor facial injuries and released.

At 3am officers were then called to Oakdale Avenue and Merritt Street after a female sex trade worker was driven to a secluded area near Hartzel Rd. and Lincoln Ave.

When she tried to leave the vehicle she was forced to remain inside.

She eventually escaped, but was then pursued by the suspects while driving their vehicle.

The victim was able to hide and call 9-1-1.

Police tracked down the truck on Richmond Street in Thorold, with one male driver.

18 year old Christopher Mcgean of St. Catharines is charged with one count of Assault, and has been remanded into custody pending the results of a Bail Hearing. It is anticipated that further charges will be laid.
