8/19/2012

Niagara Regional Police are still looking for one man who allegedly robbed two young men with a knife in St. Catharines.

It happened on Queenston Street at around 9:30 last night when they were approached by two other men.

One of the suspects pulled out a knife and demanded money.

One of the victims gave some cash so the two suspects took off heading east on Queenston Street towards Centennial Park.

The NRP canine unit managed to track one of them.

Twenty three year old Merga Rashid of St. Catharines has been charge with one count of robbery and one count of breaching his probation.

A second male is still on the loose.

He had dark brown or black wavy hair and was wearing a white muscle shirt and white cargo shorts.

Nobody was hurt during this robbery.

Police continue their investigation and are asking for anyone with information to give them a call or call Crime Stoppers.
