A few more details emerging about the Red Bull Crashed Ice Event being held in Niagara Falls this winter.
Mayor Jim Diodatti tells 610 CKTB's Tim Denis the event will be held December 1st, the only Ontario date on the tour.
Diodatti says skaters in full hockey gear will compete in the hopes of advancing to the Crashed Ice World Finals being held in March in Quebec City.
The death defying course will take a month to build .
It will start at the Skylon Tower, go down Murray Hill right into Queen Victoria Park.
The Mayor says they are talking about building the track right off the Skylon's lower roof so participants can get enough momentum and speed going as they race each other four at a time.
The event typically attracts up to 100 thousand spectators and the bonus, its all free to watch.
And Diodatti notes Red Bull won't just be bringing an extreme sporting event to the city, there will be what he calls extreme entertainment as well, so he advises bring your cameras.
