Marineland investigation continues despite claims to the contrary

8/25/2012

The Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums is accusing Marineland of putting words in its mouth.

The park said Thursday inspectors from the agency cleared them of any wrong-doing after officials from CAZA visited Marineland on Thursday.

Now, CAZA says that's not necessarily the case, adding that their investigation is still ongoing.

Inspectors from CAZA and the Ontario SPCA paid Marineland a visit after former employees accused the park of mistreating animals.

CAZA and the Ontario SPCA are expected to report on what they found some time next week

Good to see this investigation is ongoing. I watched the video and was appalled at the things I saw. I went to Marineland quite a bit as a child and would love to be able to take my own son when he is old enough to enjoy it however with having seen this shocking mistreatment of animals I have VERY SERIOUS doubts about every spending a dime supporting their park.
