NEC would say no to wind farms
Some good news for opponents of wind turbines on the Bruce Peninsula.
The Niagara Escarpment Commission is concerned about the proposals for wind turbines in the Bruce Peninsula area.
N-E-C chairman Don Scott says he can't see approving any turbinesin the escarpment area as they are not compatible with the aesthetics of the escarpment.
In fact, Scott says the N-E-C would reject any application for a wind turbine -- just as they do for billboards in natural protection areas of the escarpment.
