The region of Niagara has launched a web based mapping system that will allow you to see how it plans to spend $1.6 billion dollars over the next decade.
The tool will display locations and details of planned infrastructure projects or capital investments in things like buildings or major equipment.
You will be able to identify, depending on which municipality you are in, various projects or acquisitions and will include timelines, projected costs and photos.
Commissioner of Corporate Services at the region Brian Hutchings says they have been trying for several years to make their budget and finances transparent and accessible to the people of Niagara.
The region will continue to improve on the new app over the next year.
If you want to try it out, just go the Niagara Region's website at www.niagararegion.ca.
