St.Catharines turns into Pumpkinville

10/13/2012

Pumpkinville is today in St.Catharines.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Happy Rolph’s.

Now in its 24th year, the event will feature face painting, bouncers, pony rides, food vendors and more.

The scarecrow building contest, a friendly competition that’s been a long-time family favourite, is also back. And with it, Scarecrow Alley: a display of the day’s most fearsome creations for all to see.

Admission to Pumpkinville is free. Some activities, including family photos in the barn, and snacks, may include a small fee.

Additional parking is available at surrounding businesses and the Grantham Lions Club on Niagara Street, where a shuttle bus will offer free rides to and from Happy Rolph’s. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m.

For more information, search Pumpkinville at www.stcatharines.ca.
