Windy in Niagara for the next 24 hours

Hold on to your hat, the next 24 hours will be quite windy in Niagara.

Environment Canada says Niagara Falls, Welland and the surrounding area can expect winds to reach 60 kilometres an hour today and then gust to about 80 km/h tonight.

Showers also in the forecast for this evening.

The wind will continue into Monday with gusts still reaching up to 80 km/h.

In the St.Catharines, Grimsby and the North Niagara area things will be a bit calmer.

Winds expected to reach 30 km/h Sunday, and up to 60 km/h tonight.

On Monday winds will reach about 60 km/h.
