According to a new study, if the 9/11 attacks had never taken place, we would be seeing twice as many Canadians shopping in the U-S.
The study presented at a transportation conference hosted by McMcaster University yesterday found heightened border security is having an effect on cross border travel.
The studies' authors say even with new duty free exemptions they don't expect Canadians to flock to the U-S to take advantage of cheaper products because they are simply uncomfortable crossing now.
