St. Catharines, Santa wants your float

Santa wants your float.

Jolly old Saint Nick wants entries for the 10th annual St. Catharines Santa Claus parade.

Market & Event co-ordinator for the Market Square Jan Bechard says this parade is one of the best winter events in the Garden City's downtown.

Bechard says more than five thousand people came out last year and the parade continues to grow every year.

Parade entries are being accepted for all categories including floats, marching bands, clowns and community groups.

Those interested are asked to submit an application by Thurs., Nov. 1.

Successful applicants will be notified by Nov. 6.

The St. Catharines Santa Claus Parade takes place on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m.
