November march planned to keep spotlight on Marineland

10/26/2012

The season may be over but the pressure remains on Marineland.

On November 8th animal rights activists plan to march from the clinic of the park's chief vet, June Mergl, to owner John Holer's house.

The candle light march is being called "Follow the Money" Marineland March.

At the same time,  the activists have announced the Opening Day Demonstration date to be May 18th.

World famous documentary filmmaker Ric O' Barry will be on hand as the group plans to gather over one thousand people for the opening day protest.

Really? Ric O'Barry? I don't think so. Did anyone bother to check if this information is accurate? There is no way Mr. OBarry is going to be associated with this group. They are MAD and he knows it. They also have a habit of greatly exaggerating their popularity, effectiveness and importance. This will be another one of their limp efforts to get attention for the needy organizer whose only concern is himself. He will continue to exploit the large protest at Marineland for their own purposes while trying to take credit for it. He refuses to acknowledge it would not have happened if Phil Demers, Rick O"Barry and MPP Cheri DiNovo had not attended. MAD would have their usual small group of 10 or 15 people buzzing around like an annoying mosquito trying to do whatever they can to get their name in the news. Those of us in the area are very aware of their tactics except for 610 it would appear. No news here guys. Check your sources.
