Rainy day for Niagara Catholic's 37th Pilgrimage Walk

10/28/2012

A rainy day for Niagara Catholic high school students, their families and staff members for the 37th annual pilgrimage.

Each year students are joined by staff and family members in a walk to raise money and awareness of various social justice initiatives around the globe.

For instance, students at Denis Morris, Holy Cross and Saint Francis will raise money for charities in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Guatemala.

The first pilgrimage was in 1975 by students at Notre Dame.

Today approximately 4 thousand participants from 8 Niagara Catholic high schools take part in the tradition.
