Niagara employees well represented on Ontario's 'Sunshine List'

Ontario's sunshine list is out and employees in Niagara are well represented.

The sunshine list provides the names and salaries of public sector workers who are paid at least 100 thousand dollars a year.

Brock University was the regions most represented employer with 525 employees making over 100 thousand dollars a year, with President Jack Lightstone making over 333 thousand.

The Regional Municipality of Niagara was next on the list with 431 employees making over 100 thousand, including 344 employees on payroll with the Niagara Regional Police.

The DSBN has 211 employees on the list, followed by the Niagara Health System at 201 employees, then Niagara College with 126 employees followed by the Niagara Catholic District School Board with 99 employees on the list.

Doctor Suhas Joshi was the highest paid public employee in the region, the director of the Pathology at the NHS made over 460 thousand last year alone.
