Safari Niagara to host animals from flooded Calgary Zoo
Stevensville's Safari Niagara answering the call and will be home to several animals whose shelters were destroyed after flood waters destroyed some enclosures at the Calgary Zoo.
The zoo put out a call to members of the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums to help find temporary homes for 34 animals until the enclosures can be repaired
Safari Niagara is now waiting for the arrival of five Goeldi's monkeys, four Amazon parrots and two white handed gibbons.
The animals won't be on display right away, they have to be quarantined for 30 days before visitors can welcome the new arrivals.
