The Oracle of Fedorukle
Call it a piece of shameless self-promotion, a trip down memory lane, an exercise in social networking? Call it whatever you like because it's a little bit of all of the above and more.
The Oracle of Fedorukle came to me after playing around with Google's recent Bacon Number feature, based on the Oracle of Bacon, where every actor has a Bacon number based on their appearance in a movie with Kevin Bacon, or someone who has appeared with him.
FEDORUK NUMBER
Recently I seem to have had many conversations where someone's name came up who worked in media (mostly radio, some TV) and my response more often than not was...”I used to work with him/her back in.....” This along with my impending birthday inspired me to come up with THE ORACLE OF FEDORUKLE.
Granted this is mostly directed at other people in the media, but you too can play along if you are a fan of any other radio personality. What is their FEDORUK NUMBER?
It works just like the Bacon game except with media. For example I work with Tom McConnell currently. Therefore his Fedoruk number is 1. How about Beverly Thomson of CTV? Her number, also 1. I worked with her briefly in the 80's. Ryan Seacrest has a Fedoruk number of 2, based on an old colleague who did some work with his station.

If you are in the media, or know someone in the media, what is their Fedoruk number? Granted the broadcast community is a “small town” but let's try this. It can apply to behind-the-scenes people too. They can of course be part of the equation. I don't have a website with an algorithm for this, so we'll have to do in the hard way. LEAVE COMMENTS.
