Best Commercial. Period.

For years men have dealt horribly with a woman's “nature”. And generally speaking we're also not very good at dealing with a woman when nature is running its course.

Of the two genders (and with all due respect to the wonder of human anatomy) the female machinery is much more complicated AND asked to do much more than a male's over the course of a lifetime.

PERIOD

Men for sure can't quite deal with a woman's period, the monthly visitor, evidenced by the fact that we sometimes use terms like “monthly visitor.” Granted each woman reacts differently but there is often a commonality of mood swings, the blahs, general malaise and other fun stuff women themselves sometimes label “the curse.”

But, here I go (a man) talking about a woman's period, something I can never really quite understand no matter what kind of simpatico I might have with my partner. There is also a huge world of pharmacy and medical science surrounding the period, and thusly a massive marketing that goes on with it. Men are generally uncomfortable with this also, evidenced by awkward comedians making uncomfortable jokes about tampons.

Recently a man named Richard posted some of those hackneyed thoughts on Facebook and received a response from Bodyform in the UK. The ad is funny, clever and to the point. Btw, the CEO is played by an actress, but still, very authentic. LEAVE COMMENTS.
