Ontario's Stella Sisters Go Viral

Two Ontario sisters and a most endearing simple homemade video have captured the imagination of the music world.

Lennon and Maisy Stella, now known as the Stella Sisters are 13 and 8 respectively and have been living in Nashville since 2009. Originally from Oshawa and area, their parents, country duo Marylynne and Brad Stella, the Stellas, moved the family to Music City to pursue their careers.

NASHVILLE

Lennon and Maisy just got parts on the new TV series Nashville, (runs in Canada on CTV) and played daughters of one of the TV characters who enter a talent show. (Scene pictured below). Their episode airs tonight (Wed. Oct. 24/12).  Since the viral video they've received calls from Ellen, Ryan Seacrest and a host of others.  Look for many TV appearances to follow.

Lennon's voice has a wonderful raspy quality that seems natural. I've included two videos, the first being their most popular, their cover of Robyn's Call Your Girlfriend accompanied only by percussion of empty margarine containers. It's under 2 minutes.

If you like watch the 2nd, a cover of Jason Mraz. The girls have been around music all of their lives and play instruments as well as sing. They also seem to really enjoy it. LEAVE COMMENTS.

Wow! This is so great for them. Let's hope it all works out. They seem so nice, the whole family.
