Pink Honda Just For Her
It's a special edition of the Honda Fit and it's called She's. The car is pink, the interior is pink, with pink on the steering wheel, dashboard, floor mats, and pink stitching. The key is pink. The model is also being sold in something called “eyeliner brown”, but “ladies”, why drive brown when you can go pink.
Btw, it's only availabe in....
JAPAN
Pink is of course associated with breast cancer awareness and as far as I know this pink car has nothing to do with that. Pink cars are often associated with success in Mary Kay but those were Cadillacs and only in North America. I don't imagine a woman driving a pink Honda in Japan would be confused with some sort of tier success level in cosmetics.
I supposed a certain faction of society still associates pink with little girls and blue for little boys, but doesn't this usually pass by toddler-hood? I'm sure I've seen men in pink dress shirts and women wearing blue. Wacky I know, but I think I've seen it.

I'm trying to imagine what would be behind a marketing misstep like trying to tap into the female car buyer niche by going all pink. They also claim the windshield prevents wrinkles by blocking harmful UV rays and special air conditioning improves skin tone. Seriously.

For years women have been treated horribly by automakers and their advertising, either ignored altogether, or dressed scantily to allegedly help sell the car to a man. AND, ask a woman about a nightmare experience she may have had in the showroom with a sales rep. I thought we were over all that and were on cruise control into the 21st century, but apparently not. “Hey baby, here's a few grand, go out and get yourself somethin' pink and frilly.” LEAVE COMMENTS.
