Qualifying for Red Bull Crashed Ice
So, do you have what it takes to strap on some skates, hit the ice, and make it to the bottom of Murray Hill in one piece.
The first of five Red Bull Crashed Ice races this winter will happen in Niagara Falls on December 1st, 2012.
The other race in Canada this winter will be in Quebec City on March 16th, 2013.
Red Bull is now open for qualifiers at redbullcrashedice.com. You have untill the end of September to sign up.
A lottery will choose 200 men and 20 women for each of twelve qualifying locations across Canada, including St. Catharines on Tuesday, October 16th. But, if you are not one of the lucky names drawn, 50 walk-up participants will join the lottery qualifiers.
The qualifying event is a simple speed and agility test on a regular hockey rink. The top 100 men and 20 women from across Canada will then get the right to race in Niagara Falls. From that event, the top 64 men, and the top 16 women qualify for the season finale race in Quebec City.
