Canada Day Parade in Niagara Falls will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until approx. 4:00 p.m. The Official Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and the Pre-Parade begins at 9:45 a.m. The Parade(s) begin on Morrison Street at Drummond Road and travels west along Morrison Street into Optimist Youth Park, 4751 Dorchester Road, Niagara Falls. The Canada Day Opening Ceremonies begin at 11:30 a.m. on the Main Stage at Optimist Youth Park. Entertainment on three outdoor stages begins at 12 noon and will feature fantastic acts such as The Magic of Greg Frewin, Russian Acrobats, and the The Bananagins. Located on the east side of the Park, will be Tom Bishop’s 4B Ranch Wild West Show, along with Reptile Kingdom, free Inflatable rides, free train rides, free face painting, the Youth Stage, Millennium Clock Stage, Niagara Falls Lions Carnival, and so much more! Inside the Optimist building, enjoy Free Birthday Cake, community displays, a drama presentation from Peterson Community Workshop, a visit from Bird Kingdom, and other entertainers. Don’t forget to bring your Project SHARE donations for collection along the Parade route! Special thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who put in many hours building floats, performing on Canada Day, and volunteering their time to make this special celebration happen!
