The YWCA Niagara Region is launching No Fixed Address, a 24-hour live in your car-a-thon to raise awareness about poverty and homelessness in the Niagara Region and raise funds to help homeless women through programs and services offered by the YW. No Fixed Address will take place in the parking lot of the Pen Centre from 9am August 23 to 9am August 24. This is the first event of its kind in the Niagara Region. The YWCA is asking the community to join the fight against poverty and homelessness by participating in what is sure to be a life changing experience. Registration is $24 per car. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges in support of their efforts. Events and competitions will take place throughout the day and night to keep participants entertained. Activities will include car/parking space decorating, a scavenger hunt, outdoor yoga, an outdoor movie, and a variety of live music. More information will be released in the coming weeks.
