The Welland Recreational Canal Corporation is pleased to announce that they will be hosting outdoor 'Movies in the Park'. Not only will you be able to enjoy a movie under the stars, but you’ll be able to watch it on a curtain of water! This unique and innovative new screen is 36' feet wide and is made of constantly flowing water. The image quality and clarity is unbelievable, and the experience is like no other. The films will be played every Saturday for 6 weeks beginning August 4th and ending September 8th. Five showings will take place at the Merritt Park Amphitheatre in Welland and one in Queenston Heights Park. We have a fantastic line up of feature films for your viewing enjoyment!!! Each movie is family oriented and all ages are welcome. Shows begin at dusk (roughly 9pm). ADMISSION IS FREE!!! We ask only that you make a donation of, at least one non perishable food item per person. All food donations are being made to The Hope Centre in Welland. Lawn chairs are not permitted in the amphitheatre but cushions and or blankets are allowed. Chairs at Queenston Heights are welcome. The popcorn will be popping and beverages for sale to complete the outdoor movie experience!!!!
