Join Tim Denis on August 23rd – 24th as he finds residence in his car at the Pen Centre parking lot for 24-hours in the No Fixed Address campaign, a ‘Live-In-Your-Car-a-Thon’ in support of the YWCA.
Beginning August 23rd at 9am till 9am on August 24th, 610 CKTB’s very own Tim Denis will live in a car to help homeless women & families.
Over the course of 24 hours participants will experience just how little room a car provides, what a convenience store diet means and how difficult is to find a rest room when you need it most. No Fixed Address will take place at the Pen Centre parking lot on the Zellers side of the mall.

Funds raised will help fund services and create awareness for their need that the YWCA provides. A donation of $1 per hour for the full 24-hours, will help provide food & shelter for a women & child for one day so that they don’t have to experience those 24 hours in their car.
Did you know that 1 in 7 (2.4 million) Canadian women live in poverty today? Women’s homelessness is often hidden, as women temporarily stay with friends or live in their car, as housing instability continues to grow.
