Blind Man Caught Driving

A bizarre twist to what began as a routine traffic stop in the Garden City...

Police say they stopped a car on Lake Street for a licence plate violation.

Talking with the male driver, police learned the plates were not valid for the car, and it was not insured.

But the real shocker came when the man revealed he had never owned a driver's licence because...he is legally blind.

The 58 year old driver is facing charges for driving without a licence, no insurance, using plates not authorized for his car and expired validation.
