Grimsby Restaurant Assault

A 22 year old Grimsby man is behind bars after a knife attack on restaurant employees.

It happened early Sunday morning in the parking lot of a Main Street West eatery, where employees noticed a fight between two men.

Workers called police and tried to break up the fight. One of the men took off, the other, charged at the employees with a knife. None of them were hurt.

When police arrived on scene, they had to use force to get the man under control after he refused to co-operate.

Paul Allen is facing a charge of Assault with a Weapon. He was treated for minor injuries and remains in police custody ahead of a bail hearing.

Police are looking to speak with the other man in the fight that took off before they made it to the scene.
