Border Officials Say Prepare

It will be a busy Canada Day at Niagara's border crossings.

The Canada Border Services Agency is reminding cross border travellers to have proper ID ready, which in most cases means a passport, or enhanced drivers license.

They also want you to have your receipts from all purchases made on your trip available and for you to know your personal exemptions.

If you have been away from Canada for 24 hours you can bring back 50 dollars worth of goods tax free, after 48 hours-400 dollars, after 7 days-750 dollars.

Border officials asking you to check wait times before heading out.
