Crashed Ice coming to Niagara Falls

8/21/2012

Crashed Ice is coming to Niagara Falls.

The global tour put on by Red Bull will slide into the city December 1st.

Crashed Ice is a series of downhill races for skaters---think of it as ski cross on hockey blades.  Though not finalized, the Niagara Falls course is expected to wind its way down Murray Hill.

As many as 100 000 people have shown up to watch in other cities around the globe.  The 2012-13 Crashed Ice tour will stop in Minnesota, Russia & Switzerland with the final in Quebec City.

If you think you can handle the course, there will be a lottery to pick 200 men and 20 women in each city.  There are also 50 walk up spots.
