St.Catharines/Niagara Housing Starts

 When it comes to new home construction, St.Catharines-Niagara is holding it's own, despite the economic slowdown.

Figures released today by Canada Mortgage and Housing show a 46 per cent increase last month in housing starts to 86 units compared to the same month last year.

CMHC says apartment buildings led the way with one in every three starts in Niagara right now being an apartment.
