About the show
Tim Denis in the Morning
Join Tim Denis every weekday morning from 5am - 9am for the CKTB Morning Show. Tim will wake you up with the daily buzz from around the world and right here in your own backyard. Along with Laurie Walsh, Michelle Cruise and Siobhan Morris, CKTB starts your morning off right!
On the Tuesday show, Tim Denis and Laurie Walsh in the CKTB Newsroom will get you up to speed with everything you need to know to start your day off right. As well, we want to give you the chance to make this February unforgettable with the chance to win one of five rings for your sweetheart as our Olympic hopefuls represent the country they love with 610 CKTB's Winter Sweetheart Rings! Tim Denis will ask a series of questions about celebrity and famous sweethearts, whoever is the first to answer 2 questions correctly will instantly win a jewelled ring valued at a minimum of $200. In the spirit of sportsmanship and love, the losing contestant will win a gift certificate to take their sweetheart out to dinner! At 6:50 we talk with Michelle Teitsma about the Jordan Art Gallery's Heart to Heart Silent Art Auction with a portion of the proceeds to benefit The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. The February event kicked off this past weekend and continues until the end of the month. At 7:50, we talk with Andre Bourgeault, co-owner of Niagara Markets Inc. in downtown Niagara Falls, a shop that specializes in local food of almost any description. You'd be surprised just how much we produce right here in the Niagara Region! And at 8:20, we'll talk with Canadian jazz musician Joe Sealy, who received the Order of Canada in Ottawa earlier this month. He's also recorded a new CD titled "Songs" with his long-time partner Paul Novotny, and we'll hear part of The Railway Porter's Song in honour of Black History Month. On the "Niagara Knows" Contest this week we're giving away 4 passes to the 21st Anniversary Oldtimers Hockey Classic alongside family passes to the Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls. All that, plus the latest news, weather, sports and traffic information you need to get you going for a Tuesday morning!
