The City of Port Colborne has received a $10,000 donation for work at Sugarloaf Marina.
Money from The Port Colborne and District Conservation Club will be used to extend the fishing docks in the lagoon in 2019.
The city hopes to match that funding through grants and the capital projects budget.
The original docks were provided to Sugarloaf Marina by the PCDCC after Port Colborne was named the World Fishing Network Ultimate Fishing Town in 2013.
"We are very appreciative of the support we receive from the Port Colborne & District Conservation Club. They are a very active group that take on great projects that contribute to our success at the marina," commented Mark Minor, Sugarloaf Marina Supervisor.
