It's been 100 days since the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority turned a new page.
Gayle Wood took over the position of Interim Chief Administrative Officer/Secretary-Treasurer on March 1st and it has been 100 days since a new board took over.
Wood says she has been warmly embraced, and she is getting positive feed back on the new board of directors.
She says morale is up for employees.
When it comes to the board moving forward, Wood says they are recommending a competency matrix for appointing NPCA Board members for communities which do not have a system in place.
They also are offering civilian member positions to the region.
The idea is being sent to Regional Council today.
Meantime, the PC government has announced cut backs to flood management programs across Ontario in its latest budget.
Wood says provincial payments for its flood plain management services have been cut in half.
She says that means there could be delays for services such as permits approved near flood plains.
