Police north of Toronto say they have evidence that connects three teenage boys suspected to multiple bank robberies throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
York Regional Police say the latest incident happened Wednesday night in Markham, Ont., where the three teens are alleged to have injured four people while robbing a bank.
Police allege the boys, aged 13, 15 and 16 were armed with guns and knives.
Two bank employees were stabbed and two others were kicked in the face before officers arrived, police say.
Investigators say the boys attempted to flee on foot but were found hiding in a nearby home under construction.
They say the vehicle the boys were using had been stolen earlier this month during a violent carjacking in Toronto.
Police say they've laid numerous charges against the boys, including robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime and disguise with intent
