Eighteen Canadians were onboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight that crashed minutes after taking off from the Addis Ababa airport this morning.
In total, 157 people were believed to have been on the plane, including 149 passengers and eight crew -- there were no survivors.
There has been no word yet on a cause of the crash, but company officials note the pilot sent out a distress call and was given clearance to return.
The plane was new and had been delivered to the airline in November.
