Another iconic Ontario event is taking a break this year due to COVID-19.
Organizers with the Royal Winter Fair made an unanimous decision to cancel the November event at Toronto's Exhibition Place.
The event is the largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international equestrian competition in the world, drawing hundreds of exhibitors.
It has only been cancelled once before during World War II.
During that time, the Royal Horse Palace stalls were transformed into army barracks to house soldiers preparing for deployment in Europe.
The food competitions are still scheduled to take place and some virtual events will also be offered at a later date.
