Hamilton Police are investigating the drowning of a 30-year-old man at a residence on Proctor Boulevard.
Police were notified shortly before 9 p.m on July 15th that a man had been found at the bottom of a pool in the Hamilton neighbourhood.
The man was reportedly visiting from the United States and had been swimming alone in the backyard while the homeowner was out front.
A neighbour helped retrieve the man from the bottom of the pool and performed CPR until emergency responders showed up.
The male was transported to hospital and later pronounced dead.
This is the second drowning incident in the area in the past two days. Just yesterday a 89-year-old man lost his life at a pool in Burlington.
