Police have a man in custody following a serious assault last week.
It happened last Wednesday just before midnight when a man in his 50's was attacked and seriously injured at 260 King Street (between Albert Street and State Street) in Welland.
32 year old Larry Miles was arrested Saturday in Cambridge.
He is facing aggravated assault charges.
The victim remains in hospital in critical condition.
