Niagara hydro workers are on their way to help get the lights back on following Hurricane Irma.
650-thousand customers are left without power since the storm.
36 Alectra Utilities workers left the St. Catharines location at about 6 o'clock this morning forming a convoy of 20 bucket trucks and support vehicles.
John Friesen with the local utility company says all workers volunteered for the mission, and it's heartwarming to see the workers take time out of their personal lives to help others.
Georgia Power will be covering the costs of the mission.
