A 38 year old Welland man has been arrested accused of a break and enter at the city's high school.
Yesterday afternoon police were called to the area of McNaughton Road and Nelles Road after a crash involving a blue Chevy SIlvarado slamming into a parked car.
The male driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Further investigation revealed that the truck and suspect matched the descriptions of the suspect vehicle and the suspect, in relation to the theft of the aluminum brake, which was stolen from a high school.
As a result, the suspect was arrested.
38 year old Matthew Bastien was arrested and charged with impaired operation of conveyance by drug, break and enter, and trafficking property obtained by crime.
