A 42-year-old man has suffered serious injuries after an assault in Niagara Falls.
Niagara Police were called to a fight at 2:40 this morning in the area of Ferry Street near Temperance Avenue.
Officers found the victim suffering from a significant laceration to his upper torso, and arrested a suspect.
Police say the victim was hurt after he was pinned up against a sharp edge of a nearby wrought iron fence.
19-year-old Jesse Weichmann of Bliss, New York, has been arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault.
A bail hearing will be held later today.
