A fifth person has been arrested following a disturbing alleged sexual abuse case in Port Colborne.
So far four men and a woman have been arrested in the case which alleges sexual assault, incest, and abusing a person with a disability dating back two decades.
The NRP arrested a 70 year old man last week charging him with two counts of sexual assault.
Officers re-arrested the man today following allegations of a 2016 incident and charged him with sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference.
Shane Ayres is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Wednesday.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, officers have made a fifth arrest.
44 year old Susan Leitch of Renfrew, Ontario is facing the alleged charge of sexual exploitation of a person with a disability.
Leitch is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
Investigators from the Sexual Assault Unit, Child Abuse Unit and Domestic Violence Unit continue their investigation.
