The cause of yesterday's fire at a vacant building on Welland Avenue in St. Catharines has been ruled undetermined.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at 210 Welland Ave. around 7:30 a.m. yesterday and found the building engulfed in flames.
The City has secured the property with fencing and are working with the property owner to remove debris from the site as soon as possible.
Deputy Fire Chief Jeff McCormick is warning owners of other vacant buildings in the city to ensure they are properly secured.
One person suffered non-life threatening injuries in the blaze.
Damage is pegged at more than $50,000.
