A 54 year old Welland man has died following a car crash in Niagara Falls.
It was just after 4am today that emergency officials were called to the scene of a crash on Kalar Road near Mt. Carmel Boulevard.
Police say a passerby noticed a 2006 Cadillac upside down in a farmer's field and contacted police.
Investigators say the car was travelling north on Kalar Road, when it left the roadway and struck a number of trees on the east side of Kalar Road.
The vehicle continued into a farmer's field where it rolled a number of times before coming to final rest on its roof.
The 54 year-old driver was located in the vehicle.
He had suffered fatal injuries in this collision and he was pronounced at the scene.
There were no other occupants in this vehicle.
This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Coroner's Office.
