Fifty-seven Buffalo cops are resigning from a specialized unit that was established to help with crowd control and riots.
This comes as two officers who served within that unit were suspended, after video shoved them possibly shoving a 75-year-old man to the ground during a protest Thursday.
The Buffalo police officer's union says the unit was following orders to clear the square.
All 57 officers are specifically resigning from this specialized unit, which was only created a few years ago, and they remain employed by the department.
Governor Cuomo has gone so far as to call for the officers' firing, and possible criminal charges.
He adds that he spoke to the man who fell and hit his head, who's expected to be ok.
There are reports today that the two officers suspended will face formal charges.
