The province is investing 6.9 million over five years into upgrading social housing in Niagara.
Premier Kathleen Wynne was in Beamsville for the announcement that will see improvements made to existing social housing.
The money will allow for installation of more energy-efficient boilers, windows, lighting and insulation.
The investment is part of a province-wide program to improve these homes for low-income and vulnerable tenants by helping reduce energy bills for social housing providers.
