A St.Catharines man accused of sexually abusing children has been arrested again.
Niagara Regional Police say 60 year old Jeffrey Cairns was arrested today and charged with 3 additional counts of sexual assault and 3 additional counts of sexual interference.
Allegations of historical child sex offences were first made against Cairns in 2016.
He was arrested and charged with 11 counts of sexual assault, 9 counts of sexual interference, eight counts of invitation to sexual touching and sexual exploitation.
This month, police were contacted by a new complainant which opened the door for further investigation.
As a result of the new allegations and follow up investigation Cairns was arrested again today.
Cairns attended a bail hearing today and was released on $20,000 bail.
The Cairns Family name is well known in Niagara following a 10 million donation from Jeffrey's late father Roy to Brock University to establish the Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Research Complex.
