Niagara Regional Police seizing almost $600,000 worth of marijuana.
The NRP's Guns,Gangs, and Grows Unit started investigating a Sherri Avenue home in Niagara Falls back in October.
The investigation brought them to a home on Hallcrest Avenue in St.Catharines.
On November 9th officers raided the Sherri Avenue home and found 180 marihuana plants.
On November 10th police executed two more search warrants , both on Hallcrest Avenue, St. Catharines.
Police located 344 marijuana plants and 14 pounds of dried processed marijuana ready for sale.
In total, Police seized 524 marijuana plants with a potential street value of $524,000.00, and $62,700.00 in dried processed marijuana.
Charged with 3 counts of Unlawful Production of a Controlled Substance, 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and 1 count of Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited weapon is 50-year-old Vincenzo Zeoli of St. Catharines.
Also charged with 1 count of Unlawful Production of a Controlled Substance, 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 2 counts of Breach of a Release Order is 46-year-old Stelios Argiris of Mississauga.
Both accused men will return to court next month to answer to these charges.
