Ahead of their 13th season in Niagara, 610 CKTB is proud to announce their new IceDogs broadcast team – Elliott Price and DJ Brooks.
While Elliott is new to the IceDogs, he brings a wealth of experience, including doing play-by-play at the MLB, NHL, and CFL levels.
His junior hockey work not only includes QMJHL games, but he has been the radio voice for the World Junior Hockey Championships.
He’s hosted all-sports morning shows in Toronto and Montreal. Elliott is excited to call the action for the upcoming season and says,” Year 1 of an IceDogs rebuild? As baseball player Joaquin Andujar responded when asked to sum up his sport in one word: You never know! Let's find out together.”
Over the past five seasons, DJ Brooks has been covering the IceDogs for Bullet News Niagara, Niagara this Week, and YourTv.
He looks forward to calling CKTB home for the 2019 season.
Brooks says, "This season is a rebuild for the IceDogs but there are so many interesting pieces remaining, from Akil Thomas to Phil Tomasino to some veteran defenceman, that this will be a fun season to watch in Niagara".
The IceDogs 5-game exhibition season begins tonight at 7p in Port Colborne as they take on the Barrie Colts.
Tomorrow night, the IceDogs are in Fort Erie to face the Windsor Spitfire. The IceDogs regular season starts on Sept. 19th when they host the Sudbury Wolves.
