Over 700 people gathered in St.Catharines to support mental health services in the region.
The 8th annual Women and Wellness event Thursday night raised over $80,000 for Niagara's Canadian Mental Health Association's Walk-In Counselling Services.
There are now 3 walk-in clinics across the region funded by donations to the CMHS.
The three clinics are in St.Catharines, open on Tuesday's (1338 Fourth Ave) in Niagara Falls on Wednesday's (6760 Morrison St) and in Fort Erie on Thursday's (20 Jarvis St).
Mental health counsellors provide same day services at the clinics for individuals 16 years of age and up.
It's a free service and does not require a referral. They are open 11:30am-5pm.
Last year almost 800 people used the service.
The keynote speaker for the evening was Ann Dowsett Johnston, an award winning writer and editor.
She spoke to the crowd about her book "Drink" and shared her story of alcoholism, depression and recovery.

One of the many sponsors of last night's event included our sister station, 105.7 EZ Rock.
