97 charges laid in connection with downtown St. Catharines shooting

Niagara Regional Police have concluded their investigation into a downtown St. Catharines shooting laying a total of 97 charges.
Shots rang out in the early morning hours of September 29th near the Karma Lounge on St. Paul Street.
Six people in their 30's and 40's were injured, but all were released from hospital a little over a week later.
Police say with the assistance of the Hamilton Police Emergency Response Unit, multiple search warrants were executed on March 30th and April 2nd.
As a result, four additional individuals were arrested for their alleged involvement in the shooting and/or alleged criminal acts discovered throughout the investigation.
Among those charged 42-year-old Dalton Meikle of Thorold, 26-year-old Cheniece Batticks of Thorold, 30-year-old Jayson Hypolite of Stoney Creek and 29-year-old Rhiannon Blackie of Stoney Creek.
Persons previously arrested include: 32-year-old Saeed Savalanpour of Richmond Hill, 34-year-old Shane Tyrell of Scarborough, 28-year-old Shamaree Wilson of Richmond Hill, 29-year-old Jamar Stephens of Scarborough and 26-year-old Kaitlan Miller of Scarborough.
